Theodor Körner

Theodor Körner, presently operated by Rad & Reisen, was built in 1965 at the now defunct ship yard in Korneuburg near Vienna . (the successor company ÖSWAG is still operating a ship yard in Linz)
She was the falgship of the erstwhile DDSG for many decades until Mozart entered service in 1987. (Mozart is operated by Peter Deilmann Cruises)
Theodor Körner was built as a multi puropse vessel capable of serving as cruise ship as well as excursion vessel. The ship features many technically interesting details whereof the most prominent is her propulsion system based on Voith Schneider propellers.
Theodor Körner was laid up for some years after the bancrupt of the DDSG and has then been operated by Favorit Reisen for many years. Following a season with Bonaventura Cruises in 2007, Theodor Körner is now operated by "Rad & Reisen" - www.radreisen.at.
